Tonight I dined with an old friend who I haven’t seen in a while. We’ve gone through a difficult time, but I think that we’re coming out the other end intact and that makes me happy. A couple of days ago, I came home from work to find the most beautiful bouquet of flowers on my doorstep with a lovely note from this friend. I was beyond touched. The fireman and I jumped up and down with excitement and joy because the flowers were so beautiful and the sentiment was so touching! Over dinner tonight, we broke bread (scooby snacks), we drank wine (Ruby Ale) and we caught up on all of the exciting and not so exciting details of our lives. We’ve missed so much. But now we get to repair this stitch in time.
